Electronics Technician
Job functions would include:
Technical Understanding: Interpret and work in accordance with drawings and schematics, functional and acceptance test procedures, failure reports, manuals and all other applicable engineering and production specifications
Automated Testing: Perform acceptance testing using a variety of automated testing equipment and special test consoles on newly manufactured products and product returns
Manual Testing: Perform manual testing and interpretation of results from standard and special purpose test equipment such as multi-meters, signal generators, power supplies, bridges, and oscilloscopes
Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot PCB assemblies with embedded processors and FPGAs to the component level using lab equipment.
Perform Repairs: Replace components level solder to J-STD-001 and workmanship to IPC-A-610.
Cable Build: Build product and test cables as needed.
Problem Solving: Apply your knowledge and experience using reasoning logic and reasoning to determine root cause analysis on to the component level.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the company to ensure integrated and cohesive product development.
Technical Writing: Document findings in reports including detailed description of testing performed, resulting failure, and initial root cause investigation results
Skill Development: Quickly come up to speed on unfamiliar hardware and tools.
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in industries with a focus on high reliability, and compliance, such as aerospace, defense, or medical.
Knowledge: Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, systems composed of highly integrated components such as FPGAs and microcontrollers, and software, including applications and programming.
Skills: Above average personal skills for working directly with our manufacturer and customers. Great computer, documentation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency: Proficient in soldering to meet the workmanship standard of IPC-A-610.
Task Management: Self-directed task management required.
Communication: Fluent spoken and written English
Education/Certification (preferred): AA degree in Electronic Technology, or equivalent knowledge through experience or other recognized educational institution
